Autism, Mercury, and High Fructose Corn Syrup

This is the title of the Article Review Service written and researched by Daniel Murphy, DC.  The title alone should stir up feelings of concern.  Because of this I thought it was very important to summarize this Article Review.

For those of you who go to my quarterly Dinner Talks you would recall that one of the top four foods that I recommend you stay away from like the plague is High Fructose Corn Syrup. It appears that HFCS just reached the top of my stay away list.

Mercury is used to produce thousands of products including food ingredients such as citric acid, sodium benzoate, and HFCS. Mercury with no exception is a potent neurological toxin and particularly dangerous to newborns and unborn children in the womb. The newest study “clearly and reliably demonstrated significant levels of mercury in 45% of the HFCS samples analyzed.” This is truly a serious concern considering the fact that fructose consumption among US children and adults represents 10% of calories consumed in any 24 hour period.

Stay away, stay away and please read the labels of any and all processed foods!
